Chemie High Temp Heat Transfer Fluid: A Reliable Choice for Changhong Polymer Biodegradable Materials

Ningbo Changhong Polymer Scientific and Technical Inc., as a high-tech enterprise in the thermoplastic elastomer (TPE) industry, has been focusing on the research, production, and sales of styrene-based thermoplastic elastomers (TPES). The company has made significant achievements in hydrogenated TPES technology and continuously promotes the development of new materials industry. The total investment of the Changhong Biomaterials Industrial Park project reaches 5 billion yuan, with an initial investment of 1.2 billion yuan for the first phase. It aims to build a biodegradable material production line with an annual output of 120,000 tons, including PBAT, PBS, PBT, and other products.

During the project preparation phase, the Changhong PBAT project team conducted in-depth research and horizontal comparisons on almost all types of 350# high-temperature synthetic heat transfer fluids available in the market. In the end, they chose Chemie’s German high-temperature synthetic heat transfer fluid. This heat transfer fluid demonstrates various advantages compared to other heat transfer fluids such as dibenzyltoluene and hydrogenated terphenyl.

Firstly, Chemie’s German heat transfer fluid has a low density, which reduces the amount needed and significantly lowers the usage cost. Secondly, its low kinematic viscosity ensures efficient heat conduction performance, improving the overall system efficiency. In addition, the heat decomposition rate of the heat transfer fluid is low, providing excellent thermal stability and a long service life, ensuring stable operation of the system. With its superior comprehensive performance, it offers a high cost-performance ratio, perfectly meeting the customers’ needs.

After technical and high-level interaction between the two parties, Changhong Biomaterials Co., Ltd. signed a supply contract for 283 tons of high-temperature heat transfer fluid from Germany at the end of April 2021, and delivered the 283 tons directly from Ningbo Port in July as requested by the customer. On September 11, 2021, the Phase I PBAT project of Changhong Biomaterials Co., Ltd. was successfully ignited and started. With the progress of the project, Changhong added new production lines, and our company urgently allocated 115 tons of heat transfer fluid to Changhong Biomaterials. By November 2021, Chemie has supplied a total of 120,000 tons of heat transfer fluid for the Phase I PBAT project of Changhong, with a supply of approximately 400 tons. Users have provided feedback that the heat transfer fluid and its heating system operate smoothly with significant energy-saving effects.
