 Chemie Heat Transfer Fluid Technology, as a pioneer in the field of high-temperature synthetic heat transfer fluids and heating system design in China, has always been committed to providing customers with excellent products and services. In the low-temperature hydrogen energy storage equipment project of CIMC Enric Holdings Limited, Chemie’s Eurotherm 230 synthetic refrigerant/heat transfer fluid once again demonstrated its unparalleled performance and reliability, providing strong support for the green hosting of the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics.

As an important subsidiary of China International Marine Containers (Group) Co., Ltd., CIMC Enric has been committed to the development of the energy, chemical, and food equipment industries. Its low-temperature hydrogen energy storage equipment originally used dichloromethane as a refrigerant (coolant/heat transfer fluid). However, due to the high density, low flash point and boiling point, corrosiveness, toxicity, and non-environmentally friendly characteristics of dichloromethane, it gradually exposed safety and environmental hazards. In order to solve these problems, CIMC Enric urgently decided to replace the refrigerant in early November 2021 and chose Chemie’s Eurotherm 230 synthetic refrigerant/heat transfer fluid.

Chemie’s Eurotherm 230 synthetic refrigerant/heat transfer fluid performs exceptionally well within the operating temperature range of -50 to 60℃, and it has the following significant advantages:

Excellent thermal conductivity: Eurotherm 230 maintains stable thermal conductivity in both low and high temperature environments, ensuring efficient operation of the system. Environmental friendliness and safety: This product is colorless and odorless, with high flash and boiling points, greatly reducing safety hazards. At the same time, Eurotherm230 has excellent environmental performance and complies with global environmental standards. Low density and high thermal stability: The low density of Eurotherm 230 reduces the amount of system usage, and its high thermal stability ensures reliable operation for a long time, reducing maintenance costs.

In the application of the Zhongji Anruikai Hebei Hydrogen Energy Storage Center, Chemie’s Eurotherm 230 has successfully replaced dichloromethane, ensuring the safety and environmental friendliness of the equipment. Through rapid market research and user recommendations, the decision-makers at Zhongji Anruikai quickly chose Chemie and urgently ordered a batch of Eurotherm230, which was directly delivered to the Hebei Hydrogen Energy Storage Center by special vehicle, providing strong support for the upcoming 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics.

During the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics, CIMC Hydro provided more than 30 hydrogen gas bundle container units, over 10 sets of 50MPa hydrogen storage cylinders, and a complete set of 70MPa integrated hydrogen refueling station equipment, ensuring the stable combustion of the main torch and showcasing the ingenious combination of “big snowflake, small torch” and “hydrogen energy”. Thanks to Chemie’s high-performance refrigerant/heat transfer fluid, the main torch only consumes less than 2 cubic meters of hydrogen gas per hour, achieving almost zero carbon emissions and saving 99.9% of energy.
